Explore the big and small.

October 27, 2017

My main motivation for making art is exploration of techniques and exploration of the internal and external world. This painting was created by simply observing one of my previous painting and diving in. In this case art created art. I was just there to see. I didn’t think about what it meant, I just wanted to share the result of my exploration.  I believe inspiration can be internal but in this case I am certain it was external all I had to do is to keep my eyes open.

I woke up dreaming of a sunset. I wish you a beautiful Saturday.
Stay open to allow growth. I fight myself everyday to try to get out of my comfort zone. I am getting better but I am far from what I want. Art helps me gage where I stand. If I feel stiff in my work it tells me I need to have some fun and loosen up with my art.
I am exploring the Stroke language. It covers but can also reveal what is deeper, hidden and personal. It’s a splash of organic creativity. The open circle is like arms holding you close.
This painting reminds me to change my perspective and rediscover something I thought I knew. It’s the idea of the “same old, same new”. The way you see things is controlled by how you think and feel in that moment. Try to rediscover something today.
